Troubleshooting guide
1: Making sure that the computer is properly configured to run Palestine
A. Make sure you have installed the latest patch for GC: Palestine
CD-ROM: If you bought the game on a cd-rom you need to install a patch:
Digital download: If you bought the game before 6. September 2007 you will need to download a patch.
Download patch: http://www.globalconflicts.eu/patches.html
Install patch: Follow installation steps. If the patch fail you already have the most recent patch.
B: Ensure that the machines drivers are up-to-date
Determine what graphic cards the machine has by looking at the display property screen and download the newest driver from the internet.
Determine graphics cards: Open display properties
2000/XP: Right click on the desktop and selecting "Properties"
Vista: Right click on the desktop and select "Personalize" and then select "Display Settings"
Where to get the driver depends on what graphics card the machine has, common card are:
ATI
NVidia
Intel (Choose 'Graphics' in menu)
SIS
Matrox
S3

2: If you still have a problem running Palestine then collect information so that we can try too help
A: GL Extension info
Download the program "OpenGL Extension Viewer" from http://www.realtech-vr.com/glview/download.html
Install and run the program
Copy the text from the "Report" tab into an e-mail
B: The log file
Open the folder where Palestine was installed (default is "Program Files/Global Conflicts - Palestine")
Open the folder "Data", find the file "output_log.txt" and attach it to the e-mail
C: Screenshot
If at all possible then take a screenshot of the problem and attach that to the e-mail as well
It is usually possible to get a screenshot by:
Pressing the "Print Scrn" button
Opening "Paint" or a similar program
Press ctrl-v and saving the image to the desktop
D: Dialog problems
If the problem pertains to a conversation then please list the dialog choices taken in that conversation. Also give a rough estimate of how full the alignment sliders are and your current journalist level.
